Workflow and Settings For Processing Fuji X-Trans images in Lightroom – eBook Guide
NOTE: This guide is now out of date. Because of this I've reduced the price to €3 for those who still want to purchase the ebook.
Over the last few years, I’ve covered a lot of topics relating to the processing of Fuji X-Trans files on my website. I’ve talked about some of the artefacts that can occur when processing these files in Lightroom, and I’ve shown some ways to minimise those artefacts by using the sharpening controls. These blog posts have been very popular and so I’ve collated the various posts, and re-written them into a single guide which discusses best practices for processing Fuji X-trans files in Lightroom.
This PDF e-book has been formatted for you to print for your own personal use, or it can be read on an iPad.
Note: This guide assumes that you have a degree of familiarity with Lightroom. You should already know the basics and be able to navigate the interface, import images, and make basic adjustments.
Please make sure you have a version of Lightroom that is compatible with your camera.
Learn to get the most from your X-Trans Images in Lightroom
This guide looks at the many aspects of processing Fuji X-Trans images in Lightroom. It talks about what makes the X-Trans sensor unique, and how that affects post-processing. It discusses working with RAW and JPEG files in Lightroom and shows some strategies for managing both.
It also looks at how to get the best out of Fuji RAW files in Lightroom. It shows you how to mimic Fuji’s film simulations, and how to match Fuji’s dynamic range settings. Finally, it covers sharpening X-Trans files in Lightroom and how to minimise artefacts and reduce some of the issues around Lightroom’s conversion of Fuji Raw files.
As a bonus, this guide also comes with my collected Fuji Lightroom presets, all in a single easy to find collection. These presets have been given away on my Blog in the past, and I’ve included them with this guide as a bonus so that you don’t have to download them separately.
Please Note: All my guides are self-published and as such, I do not have the luxury of a full editorial staff. While they have been proofread, occasionally a few errors do creep in, possibly more than would occur in a book published by a publisher. I do make every effort to avoid this, but due to the nature of self-publishing, this does happen. When found, I do my best to update them as soon as possible in the next release of the ebook.
